CSM Library is open to all. All in-library services, such as access to computers and library collections, are available to everyone during library open hours.
A Community Member is anyone who does not work at or currently attend the SMCCCD colleges. Community Members and Alumni can obtain a library account by completing the online application or visiting CSM Library. Please bring a current California I.D. or driver's license with proof of current residence OR current picture ID and official mail with your current address (utility bill, check stub, etc.).
As a Community Card member, you will be able to borrow most circulating print items and renew items up to two times (each renewal is for three weeks. Items with a hold request may not be renewed). Items can be returned to any San Mateo County Community College District Library or PLS Library. Users can also request SMCCCD library items be delivered to their local PLS branch by contacting their local PLS library.

SMCCCD Libraries and PLS work together to help connect students and community members with resources from both institutions' libraries. Through this long standing relationship, individuals without any affiliation with our colleges are able to access many of our colleges' resources. Community members can check out and request materials from any of the SMCCCD Libraries after creating an account above.
