In a 5-7 page research-based essay, present the reader with a compelling case for the significance of the specific aspect of textile history you have explored in your research. 

Your thesis will answer the question "why is this aspect of textile history significant?" and the essay will develop this argument by synthesizing a variety of relevant high-quality sources: your sources will provide the contextual information and evidence that your reader needs in order to find your argument compelling.

Your  Task:

Your annotated bibliography will include citation and annotation for six sources:

  • At least two scholarly sources of information (either a scholarly book written by an expert or experts in the field and published by an academic publisher, or an article from a scholarly journal)
  • At least one non-scholarly source of information
  • At least one nonfiction book relevant to the topic
  • An additional source which may be scholarly OR non-scholarly
  • At least one source (scholarly OR non-scholarly) which is cited in The Golden Thread
